By Jennifer Stuart One of the classic Disneyland snacks that makes most "you have to eat this" lists is the Little Red Wagon corn dog. This snack stand is located at the castle end of Main Street USA next to the Plaza Inn. Read on for more details and our review. Don't be deterred by the lines here as they generally move fairly quickly. The condiment stand is located just around the front of the stand to the right, and there are also a couple of tables and chairs (but no real seating area). These are best enjoyed on a bench in the hub looking at the castle or the Partners Statue. Of course this is food on a stick so it is very easy to eat them on the go as well. The price of the corn dogs is currently $9.25 USD and this includes either a bag of sliced apples (the same one that comes with all the kids meals) or a small bag of chips. There is no Annual Passholder discount as this is considered a snack cart location. Insider Tip: Don't feel like apples or chips-- ask for just the corn dog. The price for the corn dog by itself is $7 USD. This is what we always do as there are other things I would rather spend my money on than a $2.25 USD tiny bag of chips. The above picture is how the corn dogs are served. They are always hot and fresh as they won't make one until you order it. (Seriously, give it a minute to cool down). The corn dogs are a regular hot dog which is hand dipped in the corn dog batter. This makes either a good quick light lunch or a substantial snack. When the kids were smaller they were happy to share one for lunch but sharing one is only a snack for them now. They would need their own if they were going to have it for lunch. Our Review: If you haven't already guessed - we love them! These really are hands-down the best corn dogs we have ever had. In fact our kids love these so much they will often order corn dogs at other places and are consistently disappointed that they don't taste as good as the Little Red Wagon ones. Corn Dogs are also available at the Stage Door Cafe in Disneyland and at The Corn Dog Castle in Disney California Adventure. These locations do have Annual Passholder discounts available. You can find many people online willing to debate the merits of these locations and whether the corn dogs there are as good as they are at the Little Red Wagon. Agreed! I don't normally go for corn dogs at other places (too doughy & oily)... but The Little Red Wagon corn dog is always on my must have list when at Disneyland. So tasty!
