By Jennifer Stuart This review covers photos of a standard room at the Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance Hotel. It includes room photos, a look at the amenities, pros and cons of staying at the hotel and thoughts about staying at the Courtyard Anaheim Theme Park Entrance Hotel. during your Disneyland Vacation. The LocationThe hotel is located very close to the main gates at both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. It is about a 5 minute walk at a reasonable pace. This photo was taken from the pool area of the hotel. As you can see the hotel is almost directly across from Space Mountain. Although slightly blocked by trees for lower bursts. The fireworks are clearly visible from this location. (some rooms face onto Disneyland Drive and would be able to view the fireworks from their balconies. The RoomsRooms are a good size and long and thin rather than a square. The beds were comfortable and what you would expect if you are familiar with Marriott properties. The room is a great option for larger families as the standard layout is 2 queen beds and a bunkbed. (sleeps 6) There is also a small seating area and table -- convenient for eating in the room or for snacking. The AmenitiesThe lobby and public areas on the main level all feel very clean and modern. There are several comfortable seating areas where you can wait for friends or family. There is a small shop hat sells drinks and snacks as well as the usual sundries. Breakfast is not included at the hotel but there is a restaurant/ bar located on the main floor that serves quick breakfast/lunch or dinner items. A highlight of the amenities at the Courtyard is the pool and waterpark. Although the pool is not large the waterslides and water play area are fantastic. There are few heels in the area that can boast this level of water fun. For a good portion of the year this would be a highlight of any family with kids. (it certainly was for ours) Pros and Cons Pros - location - very short walk to the magnates - good for larger families - great pool and waterslides - very clean and modern Cons - price -- can be at the higher end of the range for local hotels (due to demand) - parking -- $20/night-- and must be valet parked - breakfast not included Final ThoughtsThis is a great option -- particularly for larger families as even standard rooms sleep 6. For warmer weather holidays the waterpark will delight kids who love to splash and play in the water. And the close location is great for weary feet at the end of the day.
