By Jennifer Stuart Spring has sprung at the Disneyland Resort and Easter offerings are underway. If you are going to be in the parks for Easter here is what you can look for. *******This post is updated for 2019. Egg-stravaganza Egg HuntThe egg-stravaganza egg hunt for 2019 is running from April 5-21. . Buy a map and look for character themed eggs hidden throughout the park. Match the stickers with the egg locations and then redeem your map for a character-themed plastic egg. There are 3 maps available this year: Disneyland, Disney California Adventure and Downtown Disneyland (so you can play even without a park ticket). Maps are $6.99 USD -- from a variety of shops in the parks or at World of Disney in Downtown Disney (AP discount offered). Note: you can only buy the map for the park you are in. (ie. Disneyland maps are only available in Disneyland) The busiest locations seemed to be those closest to the park entrances. A special Egg-stravaganza pin is available for purchase (with ID) for Annual Passholders only. Easter MerchandiseKeep an eye out for Easter and bunny themed merchandise. For example we spotted these spring Thumper balloons mixed in with the usual Mickey balloons. Many windows on Main Street receive subtle Easter overlays. Easter GoodiesThe famous handcrafted chocolate fudge easter eggs are available in Candy Palace on Main Street. The eggs are offered in five flavors—Chocolate Cream, Chocolate-Nut, Vanilla-Nut, Black Walnut and Peanut Butter. A variety of egg shaped character cake pops are available at most treat locations such as Candy Palace on Main Street, Pooh's Corner in Critter Country and Trolley Treats in Disney California Adventure. Spring Caramel Apples available at Candy Kitchen, Pooh's Corner, Trolley Treats and Marceline's Confectionery in Downtown Disneyland. These are character buffets at Storytellers Cafe in the Grand Californian Hotel and the PCH Grill at the Paradise Pier Hotel. Which characters are available at these locations are not listed, but typically PCH Grill has a more varied list of characters which sometimes includes Stitch.
