By Jennifer Stuart The Sip and Savor Pass is available for the Festival of The Holidays at Disney's California Adventure. We let you know everything you need to know about this pass - how to get it, how to use it and what items you should use it on to get the most value for your money. What is it?The Sip and Savor Pass is a lanyard with 8 snap-off tabs that can be redeemed for any food or non-alcoholic drinks at the Festival of the Holidays Marketplace food booths. This pass was offered originally only to annual passholders but is now available to anyone, although at slightly different price points. For 2019 the Sip and Savor Pass is $56 and $51 for annual passholders. How to use the passYou can purchase the Sip and Savor Pass at the Festival Information booth near Carthay Circle and at other select kiosks. Once you have purchased it you can snap off the tabs when you go to purchase your items from each booth. Make sure that you snap off the tabs in front of the cast member. In the past cast members have declined to honour tabs that have been separated from the pass in advance. If you know what you want to order in advance you can order and pay for all your items at one booth. Just hold onto your receipt and show it to the cast member at each booth you go to. Then you don't have to stand in line to pay at each booth but can go to the shorter pick up food line. How to get the best value from the passAt $56 for 8 items it its easy to calculate that you need to use the tabs on items that cost more than $7 for you to save money by using the pass. ($6.38 for annual passholders). You can't use it for alcoholic drinks so the more expensive items are the entrees. Most desserts and non-alcoholic drinks are less expensive than that. You can preview the menu, along with prices on the Disneyland website here. Sip and Savor Passes can be used over multiple days or shared between several people in order to get full value from it. You can also use the Sip and Savor Pass at participating restaurants to get a slightly smaller portion of holiday specialties.
