By Jennifer Stuart If you are a Canadian planning a trip to Disneyland in 2017 this news will be music to your ears. Read on to find out about this amazing deal direct from Disney! Real discounts on tickets to Disneyland are few and far between. Sometimes you can get a small discount by going through a third party retailer, but it is very rare to get a deal on tickets. This is especially true of tickets that are not rolled into some kind of package. This means that you can stay at any hotel of your choosing and still save! This is a limited time offer direct from Disneyland. Tickets must be purchased in advance (online—not at the gates) and before Feb 28, 2017. So you have a few months to make your plans. Tickets must be used before Dec 31, 2017. And this still includes one Magic Morning entry to Disneyland. (Read our post on Magic Morning and Extra Magic Hour at Disneyland). The chart above shows what the pricing is on tickets for an adult base ticket (not Parkhopper) in US dollars. (Remember that Disneyland considers those 10 and older as adults for the purposes of ticket pricing). Savings work out to either 24% or 25% off regular ticket prices! That savings will almost offset the exchange rate which is listed as 32% today. Child prices are $212.25 USD for a 3 day Parkhopper, $228.75 USD for a 4 day Parkhopper and $240 USD for a 5 day Parkhopper with the Canadian Resident Discount. Base tickets (not Parkhopper) would be cheaper. Anyone who regularly prices out Disneyland tickets knows that after 3 days it is relatively inexpensive to add the 4th or 5th day. With these discounted tickets it is only $30 USD difference to add 2 more days in the park. How does this price out for you? If you had a family of 4 with 2 children under the age of 10, you would be looking at paying $867 USD for 3 day Parkhopper tickets for the family. Regular pricing on this would be $1,156 USD - that is a savings of $289 USD. If you are like our family (3 adult tickets and 1 child, as our son is over 10) and going for our preferred ticket, which is a 5 day park hopper, then you would be paying $993.75 USD - a savings of $331.25 USD off of the regular price. At current exchange rates that is a savings of over $430 in Canadian Dollars!!! That difference pays for a couple more hotel nights or a whole lot of Dole Whips and Mickey ears! If this is your first trip check out our post on What to do for your first trip to Disneyland and Why you should download the Disneyland app. If it has been awhile since your last Disneyland trip read about Disneyland Fastpasses for Beginners-- remember it is a very different than at Disney World.

Sweet!!!!! This deal has made us rethink our AP renewal. I think they may have noticed less Canadians visiting the park. Us Canadian Disneylanders really feel the pinch of a weak CAN$. At least Disney is doing something to help :) I wish there was a CanadianAP deal at Disneyland and not just multi-day tickets. That would be super sweet.

Agree! It is great to see a deal that makes up for the exchange rate. It has us recalculating action plans as well. And we would be all over a Canadian Dollar AP!
