When you travel with kids one of the questions always is how to do laundry because chances are you will need to.  This is true of any vacation but even more so if you are taking a longer cruise.  How do you do laundry at sea?
There are two options for doing laundry on your Disney Cruise.  The first option is to have someone do it for you and the second option is to do it yourself.

Laundry Service

It is possible to bag your dirty laundry and have the crew onboard do your laundry for you.  This is the laundry service ticket that includes prices.  There are options to have both dry cleaning and regular laundry done depending on your needs.  You  can also choose to have clothing ironed or  "pressed" for you.
Insider tip:  If you have an outfit or just a shirt that you want to have pressed for Formal night or dinner at Palo/Remy, make sure that you leave enough time. Turn around time is usually 24 hours (for example, on our first cruise, Formal night was on the second night so the first thing we did was put Doug's shirt in for pressing -- check with your Stateroom Host to make sure that you will have enough time.

Laundry Room

There are several laundry rooms located around the ship.  You can check your Disney Cruise Line app for a deck plan of where these rooms are located or you can ask your Stateroom Host for directions.  Doing laundry on vacation is never anyone's first choice but neither is packing your entire wardrobe or wearing dirty clothes.

The washers and dryers are pretty much what you would expect and similar to anything you would find in a hotel laundry room.  The payment system is easy to use and no change is needed - you simply swipe your Key to the World Card and the charge is added to your Stateroom account.

Prices for doing it yourself are reasonable and not out of line with options on shore.   We find the laundry rooms tend to be busier on sea days and in the evenings.
Also in the laundry room you can buy detergent and dryer sheets so you don't need to bring these items with you.

There is also an iron and ironing board in each laundry room.  These do tend to have long waits on formal night.  Plan ahead and either iron a day before or go early in the day.
