By Jennifer Stuart Many people may already have experienced Earl of Sandwich since it is a chain restaurant with locations in several states. But if you haven’t eaten there before or maybe if you are from Canada like me, lacking access to an Earl of Sandwich, read on.
Earl of Sandwich is a fast food chain that specializes in …sandwiches. If you are not a sandwich eater, there are also wraps and salads. These are made to order – hot or cold. This has definitely become a family favourite lunch stop. There is enough choice to make all my picky eaters happy and the prices are if not cheap certainly reasonable, especially by park standards.
**** Earl Sandwich temporarily closed in Summer 2018 to make way for the construction of a new Disney hotel. With plans for the now hotel on hold the restaurant re-opened in Oct 2018. Earl of Sandwich Menu The Earl of Sandwich near Disneyland is located in the Downtown Disney area near the Disneyland Hotel and the monorail entrance to Disneyland. (making it easy to get to from Tomorrowland via the monorail. There is limited indoor seating and a large covered outdoor seating area that is a good shade break. Place your order and move down the counter to pick up any extras - like chips of desserts. Order fountain drinks when you pay and you will get a cup to fill. After you pay you will get a pager that will light up and buzz when your order is ready.
Sandwiches are big. If you aren't a big eater you might want to consider sharing one. Pictured is the Chipotle Chicken Avocado Sandwich. Doug is big fan of both this one and the Earl's Club. (sorry no picture) He likes a big lunch and this will fill him up and is much too big for me. The bread is better than your average chain sandwich shop and the toasting add a nice crunch. They don't skimp on the fillings with a nice piece of chicken and the lettuce is a green leaf which we both prefer to iceberg.
They also do a nice selection of wraps which we have had before but I realized too late that we didn't have any photos of. Again the wraps are substantial. Currently sandwiches and wraps are priced at about $6.99USD
The salads are again substantial portions. Pictured is the Berry Chicken Almond Salad and it has lots of all of the title ingredients on a bed of baby spinach. I really felt that all of the ingredients were fresh and very flavourful. The Chicken Caesar Salad is also a solid choice with lots of chicken but this is my favourite of their salads. I keep meaning to try other items but have a hard time when I just want to get this one again.
Savings Tip:
Join the Earls’ Club online and get emailed discounts. When we signed up we got a printable coupon for a free sandwich. Just make sure to do this shortly before your trip as it had a 2 week expiry. Join Earl's Club Here Insider Tip: Get the Earl of sandwich App. Scan the barcode at the bottom of your receipt to “punch the card” and get a free sandwich after 7 visits. Make sure to scan the barcode promptly. Once we waited until we got home from the trip and the time had expired on that receipt.
