I wish I could remember where I learned this trick to give credit where credit is due because this one has been a lifesaver. It solves the common problem of kids being scared of the automatic flush toilets. If this isn’t a problem you have then this post isn’t for you. If it is read on because I am about to revolutionize your life! My daughter did NOT like these toilets and would only use a public toilet if I could assure her that it was A) a regular flush toilet or B) if I went in the stall with her and covered her ears with my hands the entire time she was in the stall. (requiring some semi- gymnastic moves at times) My son would flat out refuse to go into a public bathroom no matter how desperate if it had auto toilets. This, as you can imagine, can severely limit your outings. That was until Post-It Notes saved us. Simply carry a pad of the medium size square post it notes in your purse, bag , pocket, attached to your phone or wherever. When you go into a stall place the post it note overtop of the sensor. Now it won’t go off until you (or your child) is ready to exit the stall. Simple but brilliant. Thoughts? Have you used this hack? Thinking of trying it? Do you have this problem with your kids? I can't be the only one. Let me know.

Just. Blew. My. Mind. We went a whole summer with the debilitating auto flush disaster experience ruining many outings. So much that my youngest freaked out at any public toilet and had accidents while refusing to sit on any public toilet. We are mostly over it, but a brilliant hack none the less!

Thanks so much Christina! Both of mine were definitely freaked out by the auto toilets (especially our oldest) This was a game changer for us and I knew we couldn't be the only ones. Hope it helps with whatever drama may be left.
