sDole Whips are one of the classic, some would say iconic, Disneyland snacks. Read on for all the information on Dole Whip at Disneyland including where to findthem and new variations of this classic snack.
What is a Dole Whip?
The classic Dole whip is a pineapple flavoured soft-serve that is traditionally served in a cup of in a glass with added pineapple juice in a float. Technically only the straight soft serve is actually called a Dole Whip but most Disney fans will refer to all of these treats as a Dole Whip. This is a non- dairy treat that is a cool classic and easily ranks as a favourite snack. Dole Whips have been served in Disneyland since1986 after Dole took over sponsorship of the Enchanted Tiki Room.
Variations on the classic
The original pineapple Dole Whip has now been joined by other soft serve flavours. (these have been seen to include, raspberry, orange and lemon) Alternate flavours or swirled combinations are available at the Tropical Hideaway.
Insider tip: only the lemon version is available in Disney California Adventure at the Adorable Snowman Treats.
Where to find your Dole Whip
There are now 3 places to get a Dole Whip at Disneyland. The first and original location is the Tiki Juice Bar located at the entrance to the Enchanted Tiki Room. Lines can get long here on warm afternoons and there is no mobile order available. The original location is still our pick
Insider Tip: There are two lines at this location (one is significantly shorter than the other). Find out more in our review of the Tiki Juice Bar.
The second and newer location to get Dole Whip at Disneyland is the new Tropical Hideaway Restaurant. This quick service location is also in Adventureland and is located between the Enchanted Tiki Room and the Jungle Cruise. Along with the classic Dole Whip you can get several other flavours of Dole Whip. (these flavours can change seasonally) as well as loaded Dole Whip sundaes. You can find out more about the options available in our review of Tropical Hideaway.
The third location to find Dole Whips at Disneyland is outside of the parks at the Disneyland Hotel. That's right! You can get a Dole Whip even without a park ticket. Both Dole Whip and Dole Whip floats are available at the Tangaroa Terrace Tropical Bar and Grill located in the courtyard of the Disneyland Hotel next to Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar. This is also the only location that you can add a float of rum to your Dole Whip float. Note that if you are adding rum to your Dole Whip you need to stay on Disneyland Hotel property and can't just walk around with it.
