How to Make Reservations at Oga's Cantina at Disneyland

If you are planning to visit Oga's Cantina in the new Galaxy's Edge area of Disneyland you will want to make a reservation.  Read on to find out how to make a reservation and what to do if there are no reservations in advance.

Oga's Cantina is the all ages cantina or bar experience in Star Wars Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland. If you are planning on visiting Oga's Cantina, and we highly recommend that you do, you will need a reservation in advance.  This location is so popular that walk up spots are not available.

To make a reservation you will need a Disneyland account and a credit card to hold your reservation. We find that the easiest way to do this is to set it up through the Disneyland app on your phone. To find out more about the Disneyland app, you may want to read our post on 10 Reasons Why You Should Download the Disneyland App.  Reservations open 60 days in advance at 7am PST.  Follow the steps below to book a reservation using the Disneyland App.

First open up the Disneyland App and change the tab on the top to show dining locations. (the default is for attractions) 

Scroll the map over to the Galaxy's Edge area. (in the top right corner) Then click on the Oga's Cantina spot.

When the box opens up click on it again to open up the detailed listing for Oga's Cantina.

When the detailed view opens up click on the Reserve Dining icon.

 You then put in the number of people in your party, select the date you want the reservation for  and search for the time you want the reservation for.

The app will show you the closest times available to the times you have selected. (in this example I chose to search for times around 8:05pm and the closest available are 7:05pm and 9:15pm.  Choose the time that you want to accept.

You will be prompted to sign into your Disneyland Account.

You will then be prompted to confirm the details of the reservation.  If you don't have a credit card saved to your account you will be prompted to enter it now.  There is a $10 hold fee per person that will be charged to your card if you no-show or if you cancel the reservation less than 24 hours in advance.  Once you enter the information and accept the terms  then you can click the book now button to confirm your reservation.

A confirmation email will be sent to the email you have on file in your Disneyland Account and the reservation will be added to your plans section of the Disneyland App.  The app can be glitchy at times and we have had the reservation disappear from our plans on us.  Don't panic - the confirmation email is proof of your reservation.

Insider Tip: If you can't get a reservation in advance, keep checking back.  People will sometime give up their reservations when their plans change.  This is particularly true the day before as 24 hours in advance people either need to cancel their reservation of pay the $10 per person cancellation fee. 

Insider Tip: As a last resort, there are a VERY small number of reservations that are released the morning of at 7 am PST.  Be on the app and signed in ready to go at that time to snag a last minute spot. (I have been able to do this sucessfully several times.)
