Clear it off
Clear it all off
Take pictures of the important thingsNow that your phone is cleared off take pictures of your important documents. I always take a picture of our passport identification pages and the backs of our park tickets. If there is a problem and these things are lost or stolen having a picture can make the process a lot smoother. Other things you might want to take pictures of include health insurance cards and contacts and credit card contact information. Download the App
Download the Disney app that you will need for your vacation. These apps are either essential or will make your life SO much easier that we always recommend downloading the official app. Whether you are going to Disneyland, Disney World or on a Disney Cruise make sure you download the appropriate app. You will be glad you did. Read our post on 10 Reasons You Should Download the Disneyland App.
Pack extra space
Even though newer phones come with more and more storage capabilities we find that the upgrade in camera quality and subsequent increase in file size makes it feel like they hold less than before. One of our favourite travel finds in the last few years is an external USB storage for your phone that connects to the lightning port in your phone. This has been a game changer for us as I take a LOT of pictures and video.
Power up
The other essential phone accessory is an external battery pack. There is nothing like a long day in the park to drain your phone battery. Between pictures and video and app use we tend to find that we go through 3 full charges in a day. Since we are not running back to the hotel to recharge, we make sure that we have at least one battery in our park bag. We have a couple of different sizes/powers -- one that will do a full charge and one that will do several charges. There are available at all electronic stores or on amazon.
Insider Tip:
You may also want to consider downloading the new Disney Play App. This app has interactive games and elements that you can play while waiting in line at both Disneyland and Disney World. Rumour also has it that there will be special interactive elements with this app in Galaxy's Edge (Star Wars Land) when it opens later this year
