How to Set Parental Controls on Disney +
By Jennifer
Depending on the age of your kids you might want to set up parental controls on Disney Plus. This is particularly true in countries that now have access to Disney Star content.  Read on for more information on the different kinds of parental controls that you can set up on Disney Plus to safeguard the content your kids can see.

For those who have Disney Star, much of that content is considered appropriate for mature audiences.  You may want to set up some of the parental controls even if you have older kids.

The easiest way to add a parental control is to set up a kids profile. All kids profiles are automatically restricted to content that is suitable for kids.  You can do this by creating a profile and then toggling it over for a kids account under the edit profiles option.  Select the profile that you want to be a kids profile (or create a new one) and then scroll down and toggle over the kids profile button.  You can also only enable Kids Exit when you are using a kids profile.

You can fine tune your parental controls and set exactly the content that you want to be available to that profile by using the content ratings on the content as a guide.  To do this go to edit profiles and select the profile that you want to modify the content for.  After you select the profile scroll down to content rating and tap on that option to open up the menu of different ratings that you can select.

If your profile has access to the full range of content, you may want to limit your children's ability to access your profile.  You can do this by setting a 4 digit pin number on your profile.  To access this control go to edit profiles, select your profile and scroll down to profile pin.  Select this and it will prompt you to create a pin for this profile.
To make any of theses profile changes you will need to use your Disney Plus password so once a kids profile or pin profile is enabled, you will need to enter your main password to disable these features.  Bonus tip - make sure that you don't save these passwords on your Chrome or device password keychains.
